Sustainable Development

Sustainable Development in the Principality of Monaco
Monaco has a history more than 710 years long dominated by the House of Grimaldi, which has always been concerned by environmental issues. Among the princes who have taken the throne, we would be remiss in leaving out HSH Prince Albert Ier (1848/1922), who over the course of his 28 campaigns at sea and in Spitzberg, highlighted early on the importance of nature conservation and drew the public's attention to threats to biodiversity. Today it is HSH Prince Albert II, who is imbued with the traditions of his predecessors, who presides over the Principality and vigorously embodies and is personally committed to Sustainable Development. This determination is deeply marked by respect for and protection of the environment, which hold a dominant place, as well as the continuous development of real policy of international cooperation focusing on the fight against poverty.

Sustainable development at Groupe Crédit Agricole
Thanks to its origins as a cooperative bank, Groupe Crédit Agricole promotes a set of values that put people at the centre of economic and social life. These include: Proximity, Responsibility and Solidarity. These values reflect the Groupe Crédit Agricole's culture, with its agricultural origins, its strong regional roots, its democratic cooperative operating model and its long experience as a large company constantly developing in a demanding economic environment. It was therefore natural for Groupe Crédit Agricole to make Sustainable Development a fundamental part of its development, as it strives to be a responsible player, calling for a commitment to a greener tomorrow.

Sustainable Development at CFM Monaco
CFM Monaco is dedicated to respecting the strategy laid out by Groupe Crédit Agricole in the past several years. Its ongoing commitment to its clients, its approach, which complies with ethical and compliance principles, and finally the attention it pays to environmental protection illustrates its determination to act as a socially responsible company. To reinforce its initiatives, in March 2009 CFM Monaco committed itself to other Monegasque companies with a shared determination to foster Sustainable Development by signing the Chart on Monegasque Corporate Social Responsibility.
